Our team

Changing lives through multiple paths.

Deanna Allen

Executive Director/PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Deanna Allen joined the SRP team in 2017 as a volunteer. Deanna came to SRP with an extensive list of qualifications. But her qualifications are not what make her a dynamic member of the team. When you meet Deanna chances are you will feel her highly energetic personality, connect with her passion to see lives and whole communities transformed, and even possibly be overwhelmed by the need to get involved. Deanna says she is a “woman in life-long “discovery” which she was only able to pursue by beginning her recovery journey almost three decades ago”. Read more…

Cheree McKelvey

Assistant Program Director

Cheree McKelvey has been in long term recovery for over 11 years. She is married and has 5 grown children and 2 grandsons. Cheree started volunteering for SRP in 2015/2016 and joined the staff in mid 2023 as the Assistant Program Director. Cheree is a long-term resident of Solano County and is currently pursuing a degree in Family counseling. This aligns extremely well with her passion for the Family unit. Having lived experience with family struggles in recovery, she knows the importance of the family piece for people seeking recovery. Cheree has found that learning to love oneself was her first step in achieving all this. She believes being open to a multi-faceted recovery approach can open a variety of roads all leading to long-term recovery.

Melissa Ford

Recovery Cafe Manager

Melissa Ford started her long-term recovery in May 2021. A single mom to 5 children, including one with special needs, Melissa knows the importance of being present, patient and having a good support system. Melissa started training and volunteering with SRP in 2023 before joining staff as the Café Manager. Melissa has overcome homelessness and knows the unfortunate experience of having to build life from the ground up. Two years into her recovery life looks very different. Melissa has built stability and safety into her and her children’s lives. She has a purposeful career path as she pursues trainings and certifications that also help her grow personally along her journey.  Melissa dreams of being a support to other people seeking recovery. She enjoys guiding, in love and compassion, people through life at a time when many feel lost and lonely. Her hope is that those she can help will  finally feel heard and seen.
