Celebrating “Liz” Stapp

We would like to Celebrate the Memory of our good friend Elizabeth “Liz” Stapp.

Liz spent a very large chunk of her life devoted to recovery and helping others find the same. For 30 years she gave to, and received from, a community of people seeking help from issues surrounding substance use disorder, mental health, incarceration, and so much more. Liz invested over a decade of those years assisting in opening and being a sacred keeper of a place known as Unity Hall in Fairfield, California.

Through a recovery community organization, Solano Recovery Project, Liz enjoyed coordinating countless projects & programs. Of these, Liz’ leadership was an integral part of opening two more Recovery Community Centers in Solano County plus six additional cohorts around the state.

Liz loved people from all walks of life and had an extraordinary gift of accepting people just as they are. Liz was a transformational coach, a cheerleader, a hope dealer, a voice of wisdom and an incredibly bright light. Tens of thousands of individuals were impacted over the years by what many might call work. Liz called it service. Liz was always willing to wear any, or many, hats to see that the community was served wholeheartedly. She gave to this life mission with her every able moment.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Unity Hall on August 29th from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Potluck from 11:30-12:30 please bring an item to share.
